“Dark exhausts from vehicles may disappear into the air, but its impact remains, polluting the atmosphere and threatening public health.”
The Exhausts Left Behind
While traveling, I noticed thick black smoke coming out of the vehicle ahead.
As the smoke drifted toward me, it became difficult to breathe comfortably.
The air felt heavy, and even a short exposure caused irritation and discomfort.
What struck me most was that this was a school van: a vehicle responsible for transporting children.
The visible exhaust was a reminder that air pollution is not just an environmental issue but also a public health concern.
Every puff of black smoke contains harmful pollutants that can affect the lungs and overall well-being of those nearby. This encounter made me realise how vehicle emissions directly impact our daily lives.
Cleaner vehicles, proper maintenance, and stricter emission control measures are essential if we want roads that are not only safe to travel on but also safe to breathe around.
