SafaHawa policy
These terms explain what contributors agree to when submitting photo stories to SafaHawa. They are operational terms for the prototype and should be reviewed by counsel before production reliance.
You must submit only photos and stories that you have the right to share and that honestly represent the place, time, and context described.
You must not submit misleading, defamatory, harassing, illegal, hateful, or privacy-invasive content.
You must not submit AI-generated images as photo evidence. SafaHawa may reject images when metadata clearly indicates AI generation or synthetic provenance.
SafaHawa may extract selected metadata from your original photo before optimization, including date taken, GPS when present, camera/device details, dimensions, software, and AI/provenance signals.
This metadata is used privately for moderation, authenticity review, abuse prevention, evidence preservation, and dispute handling.
Metadata can be incomplete or inaccurate, so SafaHawa keeps human moderation in the review process.
By submitting, you give SafaHawa permission to store, review, optimize, moderate, publish, and display approved submission content as part of the SafaHawa campaign and public archive.
This permission includes showing the approved photo, story, caption, selected public location label, tags, and contributor display name on SafaHawa pages and campaign materials.
You still keep any rights you own in your submitted content.
SafaHawa may approve, reject, edit for formatting, unpublish, remove, or preserve submissions according to campaign needs, safety concerns, evidence quality, and legal risk.
SafaHawa may keep moderation notes, private metadata, and audit events even when a story is not publicly displayed.
Public display is not guaranteed, and approved stories may later be changed or removed.
Private EXIF evidence, precise GPS coordinates, contact email, and internal moderation data are not meant for public display.
Public pages use selected public story fields and public location labels, not precise EXIF coordinates.

SafaHawa may ask for information needed to verify that you are the contributor or otherwise authorized to make the request.
These terms may be updated as the SafaHawa prototype and campaign mature.
SafaHawa handles submission data under the Privacy Policy.
