The Rain Effect: The AQI of Sainamaina Dropped to 46 From 165. Massive Relief!!

Rupandehi, Lumbini ProvinceJul 2026

Nature is Healing

This two images of Sainamaina represents the massive change in air because of rainfall.

The upper image, which I have already uploaded in Safahawa with the caption as "Rain Couldn't Resist the Haze" was clicked after a light rainfall while the lower image is clicked today after bit heavier rainfall in sainamaina.

The upper photo clicked on 5:35 PM, May 31st 2026 and the photo below that is clicked on 5:26 PM, 29th of June 2026.

In the first photo, there is greenery all across the image but the buildings, trees and hills are covered by the haze.

Fields are green and whole scenery is green at first glance but the smoke and the haze has surpassed the visibility and covered everything.

While in the second image, clicked in almost same time one month after the first one, the buildings are visible to longer distance, the water tank can be seen clearly, the trees are thriving as finally captured in frame and the hills are clearly visible.

In second image, there is no haze, no layer of smoke and clean and blue sky.

The veil of haze has been finally removed and everything is clearly visible now.

After rain the greenery is missing and scenery looks bit yellowish yet It's pretty clear sight to watch. I was excited to capture the before and after image after rainfall.

The image which has been already uploaded at Safahawa and got featured is the best one to recreate.

When I clicked the image from almost same frame, same time and same place; the image showed the difference clearly.

But the most surprising part was the AQI of Sainamaina while clicking this two images.

The first image holds the burden of 150 above AQI while the second image breaths free in just 46 AQI.

It has been pretty long for me where day used to start with AQI of 130 and ends up around AQI of 170-175.

But when I checked today, the AQI is 65, which surprised me.

The AQI of 46 is kind of blissing for us who were living in AQI of 165 consistently.

This is a massive relief.
