LMC has been putting in greening efforts across the city, including a 10.2 km tree-lined corridor along the Koteshwor-Kalanki stretch of the Ring Road, developed with Ncell and forestry agencies. It helps.
Greenery cuts local dust, provides shade, and makes streets more walkable.
Nepal is also gradually moving toward electric buses and cleaner transport.
The valley's air pollution problem runs deeper, but the ground-level work is real and visible.
